Does your Alecto COA4010 carbon monoxide detector display ‘b-E’ on the screen? This means that the battery is almost empty.

The COA4010 has a built-in lithium battery with an expected lifespan of 10 years. This battery cannot be replaced. When the battery runs out, the entire carbon monoxide detector must be replaced.

What should you do?

  1. Replace the carbon monoxide detector. When the battery is depleted, the detector can no longer function reliably.

  2. Do not attempt to replace the battery yourself. The battery is built into the detector and cannot be replaced.

  3. Check your purchase date. The COA4010 comes with a 2-year warranty.

Can I make a warranty claim?

If you purchased your COA4010 less than 2 years ago, you may be eligible for warranty coverage.

Important safety information
