We’re sorry to hear that your SA-300 is beeping or giving a false alarm.

In this case, it concerns an optical smoke detector. Under the cover, there are two optical sensors that detect each other. If the visibility between the sensors is disrupted, for example by smoke, the smoke detector will trigger an alarm. It is also possible that something else has come between the optical sensors, causing the alarm to go off or producing beeping sounds, such as lint, dust, or a small insect.

To rule this out as the cause, we recommend cleaning the smoke detector with a vacuum cleaner or blowing it out with compressed air. Please also refer to the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySS0xl2FttE
